Agent Memory

A mechanism that lets an AI agent retain and recall information across separate sessions or tasks, beyond what fits in a single context window.

This is usually built using an external store (like a database or vector database) rather than the model itself somehow "remembering" — the model re-reads relevant saved notes each time.
