Persona / Role Prompting

Asking an AI to respond as if it were a specific type of expert, character, or perspective, to shape the tone and angle of its answer.

"Respond as an experienced tax accountant" or "review this like a skeptical investor" are both persona prompts — they steer style and focus, not the model's underlying knowledge.
