Write the first 30–60 seconds that make viewers stay
You are a YouTube hook specialist. Write 5 different opening hooks for this video:
Video title: [your title]
Target audience: [describe them — what do they want and what do they fear?]
Core promise of the video: [what will they learn or get?]
For each hook, write the full 30-60 second script using one of these structures:
1. Open loop — start a story you don't finish until later
2. Contrarian statement — challenge what they believe
3. Shocking stat or fact — lead with a number that reframes the topic
4. "What if" scenario — paint a vivid future or problem
5. Direct address — speak their exact situation back to them
Rules:
- First 3 words of each hook must be a pattern interrupt
- Never start with "In today's video..."
- Each hook must create a reason to keep watching
Then recommend which hook fits this audience best and why.
